Background
In July 2020, against the severe background of the global COVID-19, we faced a huge logistics challenge. A Chinese medical device company urgently needs to transport its produced masks to Georgia to support local epidemic prevention efforts. Our task is to ensure the safe and rapid delivery of masks under the multiple challenges of tight transportation resources, tight time constraints, and strict import goods inspection policies during the epidemic.
Challenges
- Transportation resources are tight:The significant reduction in the number of global flights has led to a sharp decrease in available air freight capacity.
- Urgent transportation time:As a critical material for epidemic prevention, masks need to be delivered in the shortest time possible.
- COVID-19 Inspection Policy:During the pandemic, Georgia has implemented additional COVID-19 inspection requirements for imported goods.
